Leonida: GTA6 Largest Open World Map
GTA6's setting of Leonida is inspired by Florida, featuring Vice City and multiple towns and natural areas — the series' largest map to date.
GTA6's game world is set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida. This is the largest open-world map in GTA series history.
Leonida contains multiple regions: the Vice City metropolis (modeled after Miami), the industrial port town of Port Gellhorn, island chains inspired by the Florida Keys, and wetlands modeled after the Everglades.
A state-level highway system connects all regions. Players can drive from bustling Vice City to remote wetlands, experiencing drastically different environments.
The diverse terrain also means varied vehicle needs — from city sports cars to swamp airboats, each environment has its ideal mode of transportation.
