Rockstar Games announced on August 6, 2026, that an extended look at Grand Theft Auto VI will premiere exclusively on Netflix on Thursday, August 27 at 3:00 PM ET.
Titled "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look," the showcase is expected to include the first gameplay footage ever shown publicly — a significant step beyond the two cinematic trailers released previously.
The extended look will also launch on Rockstar's official YouTube channel and the GTA6 website at 9:00 PM ET the same day, six hours after the Netflix premiere. A dedicated page has already gone live on Netflix.
This marks Rockstar's first partnership with a streaming platform for a major marketing release. The event is likely to break streaming records given the enormous anticipation surrounding the title. Pre-orders have been live since June 25, 2026.
